CALL
TO WORSHIP (In Unison)
Jesus is the Gate by which we enter into our
salvation. He will protect us from all
who would pull us from His grace. Jesus
came that we may life and have it abundantly.
May we accept His gift and enjoy the life He gives us now and
forevermore. Let us worship the Living
God.
AMEN
Hymn
Today: “Lord Jesus, Think of Me”
1 Lord Jesus, think on
me, And purge away my sin;
From earthborn passions set me free, And make me pure within.
From earthborn passions set me free, And make me pure within.
2 Lord Jesus, think on
me, Amid the battle’s strife;
In all my pain and misery Be Thou my health and life.
In all my pain and misery Be Thou my health and life.
CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Unison)
Father in heaven, may Jesus continue to be the
Gate to keep us safe from all who would lead us astray. However, when we do stray, when we sin
against You and against our neighbor, we come to You and confess our sins
today, in the sure and certain knowledge that we are forgiven. Thank you for the gift of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who came as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world, who
came to take away my sins, our sins, today.
Amen.

Savior, but You would like to come to Him, or come to Him again, You can do wo

THE LORD’S PRAYER (In Unison)
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom
come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive
us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the
kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
OUR BENEDICTION
AND DEPARTURE (In Unison)
May the Lord
bless us and keep us.
May the Lord
make His face to shine upon us.
May the Lord
lift up His countenance upon us and give us peace.
Amen.
Our hymn today was written by Synesius of Cyrene
over sixteen hundred years ago. The tune
is not one that I know very well, but the simple truth that it shares spoke to
me this week. It blew me away to consider
that we still share the musical truths of Jesus that are centuries old. If you want to know more about the author,
